I've actually gotten a few 100% on my Hiragana quizzes. That means it is sticking! For me it isn't just about the grade it is the fact that I don't want to just learn to pass a test but learn for life.

Learning a New Thing
Today I decided to start learning Japanese. How far I will take it time will tell but I think it is always a great thing for our children to not see studying/learning as something that stops at a certain age. The world is vast and if you truly view education as an important thing then why stop educating yourself.
I will let you all know how it turns out. I am taking it in small steps but I feel good about it. I am sure there are some days I will not want to study but I can still be a role model during those periods too.
Today I learned the one stroke hiragana for
he = へ
ku = く
shi = し
I am also going to take mini online quizzes at this link.
So, what are you learning?
